Commodity rice basmati remained weak in lacklustre trade on the wholesale grains market on increased supplies from producing belts. Rice basmati common and Pusa-1121 remained weak at Rs 4,900-5,000 and Rs 4,200-4,900 against last close of Rs 5,000-5,100 and Rs 4,300-5,100 per quintal, respectively.
Basmati rice (Lal Quila) 9,500, Shri Lal Mahal 9,500, Super Basmati Rice, 9,000, Basmati common new 4,900-5,000, Rice Pusa-(1121) new 4,200-4,900, Permal raw 1,950-2050, Permal wand 2,200-2,250, Sela 2,450-2,650 and Rice IR-8 1,500-1,600, Bajra 1,090-1,100, Jowar yellow 1,225-1,250, white 2,050-2,250, Maize 1,350-1,360, Barley 1,295-1,310, Rajasthan 1,080-1,090.
Traders said increased supplies from producing belts, mainly kept pressure on rice basmati prices.
