Malaysian rubber market is likely to see steady trading next week with a marginal increase in prices.
"Local prices will move in line with regional markets," a dealer said.
Dealers said the improvement shown in the Singapore market on Friday would influence the price next week.
For the week just ended, Malaysian rubber prices were lower in tandem with the downtrend in regional markets.
On a week-to-week basis, the Malaysian Rubber Board's official physical noon price for tyre-grade SMR 20 fell 67 sen to 1,322.0 sen per kg from last Friday's 1,389.0 sen, while latex-in-bulk eased 31.5 sen to 917.0 sen from 948.5 sen previously.
The unofficial closing price for tyre-grade SMR 20 lost 59.5 sen to 1326.5 sen per kg from 1,386 sen per kg last week, while latex-in-bulk declined 36.5 sen to 912.5 sen per kg from 949.0 sen per kg previously.
